Our retreats

What the Retreat Holds

Every element of the retreat has been chosen with care. Together they create a balanced journey that nourishes the body, deepens knowledge, strengthens faith, and creates space for genuine reflection.

This is not simply a collection of activities. It is an experience designed to help you reconnect with yourself, with your Creator, and with a tradition of beauty and wisdom that still has much to teach us today.

001

Prayer in Congregation

To experience prayer in this way — in community, surrounded by the stillness of the Andalusian landscape — is to witness how faith can shape the rhythm of daily life and bring people together in a shared moment of reflection.

002

Quranic Study & Dhikr

Gather in a welcoming atmosphere for guided Quran circles and moments of dhikr. Through reflection, discussion, and remembrance, we explore timeless teachings that nurture the heart, deepen faith, and help us navigate the challenges of modern life with greater clarity and purpose.

Sacred History, Living Context

Through a series of talks on the history of Al-Andalus explained by a Spanish University Professor you will leave seeing the world a little differently. We explore stories that are rarely told, from the golden age of Islamic Spain to the legacy of the Moriscos, and what it all still means today. The retreat also includes a guided visit to some of the most significant Islamic sites in Andalusia — walking the same ground where faith, knowledge, and beauty once lived side by side.

Communal Halal Meals

Share nourishing halal meals that bring together the rich culinary traditions of Andalusia — slow-cooked tagines, fragrant couscous, paella, and traditional sweets, all shared around the table with glasses of fresh mint tea and the simple warmth of breaking bread together as one community.

005

Nature & Contemplation

Step outside and breathe. Our spiritual walks take you through landscapes of mountains, wildflowers, and ancient olive trees — a natural world so full of beauty it speaks for itself. The Quran reminds us that creation is filled with ayat — signs for those who pause and reflect.

006

Andalusian Arts & Sacred Crafts

Reconnect with traditions that once flourished across Al-Andalus. Draw a bow in an archery session that restores focus, intention, and presence — a practice beloved by the Prophet ﷺ. And through art, reconnect with the beauty of Islamic tradition — whether through calligraphy, geometric mosaic, or the meditative practice of Islamic pattern and colour.

Evening Gathering

Each evening closes with an intimate gathering — an Islamic Quiz to connect with the group, an open circle for honest and heartfelt conversation, and dhikr beneath the stars of Andalusia. Storytelling and quiet conversation in a land where the sky itself seems to remember.
